摘要
This American National Standard contains the technical requirements for Very-high-bit-rate Digital Subcriber Line (VDSL) transceivers systems. VDSL transceivers are intended for very-high speed data transmission up to tens of Megabits per seconds over existing copper wires in the telephone access network. As specified in this Standard, VDSL may use wireline spectrum up to 12MHz to accommodate both symmetrical and asymmetrical data rates. It can be deployed to serve end-use customers from different points in the access network, including the Exchange and Cabinet. VDSL is intended to co-exist with POTS services on the same copper wire by using frequencies above voice-band for data transmission.
